The Bachelor of Science (Honours) course allows you the opportunity to continue undergraduate studies at a higher level by pursuing an independent research project in an area of interest.

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) is a multidisciplinary course that allows you the opportunity to continue undergraduate studies at a higher level by pursuing an independent research project in an area of interest. Projects are completed under the supervision of an academic member of staff and allow you the opportunity to develop new skills, generate new information and/or distil new ideas out of existing knowledge, whilst specializing in your chosen field.

Career Opportunities

Candidates with Honours degrees are particularly sought after by employers and can choose from a variety of analysis, research, development and consultation positions because of their extra skills and proven abilities.

Specific employment opportunities are defined by the field in which you specialize but may exist in areas such as:

Government and Industry research institutions
Consulting firms
Academia

The Honours course also provides a pathway in to research higher degree study and graduates have the ability to apply for entry into Masters and Doctor of Philosophy courses.

Successful completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 12. An approved university foundation studies or formal Australian Certificate IV can also be taken to meet this entry requirement. Gao San (Senior Middle 3) - Grade average of 80% or Satisfactory completion of one year study at a recognised tertiary or higher education institution. English requirements: IELTS Academic - 6.0 with no individual band score of less than 5.5; TOEFL Internet-based - Overall score of 75 with no score less than 17; Pearson Test of English Academic - Overall score of 54 with no score less than 46; Cambridge English: C1 Advanced , Cambridge English: C2 Proficiency - Overall test score of 169 (with no individual band score of less than 162).
