Qualified students can enter the degree program at any year level. You may opt for a traditional two-plus-two approach, first completing a two-year Business Administration diploma, plus two years of additional study to obtain the Bachelor of Business Administration degree (BBA). You can also apply previous coursework from a wide range of university level studies or professional accounting programs toward your degree program.

Third and fourth-year studies include advanced financial accounting, managerial accounting, advanced cost accounting, taxation, auditing, accounting theory, international business, business ethics, advanced entrepreneurial studies and business strategy. To qualify for a Bachelor of Business Administration degree credential, you must complete all required program courses and electives (or equivalent transfer credits) for a total of 120 credits.

Career Opportunities:

After graduation, you may be employed as a public accountant, management accountant, financial manager, corporate accountant, controller, internal/external auditor, business consultant, financial analyst, financial planner, asset manager and business owner. Employment destinations include private practice, business, crown corporations and government agencies.

You will be well-prepared to move directly into the CPA Professional Education program to achieve your CPA accounting designation.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older within the calendar year in which they are applying to study. Consideration may be given for younger students who have completed high school. To meet the English language requirement for academic programs, students must have completed: BC English 12 or BC English First Peoples 12 with a minimum grade of C; or Entrance through the NIC English Language program – obtaining a C+ in ESL 092 and ESL 095 Or one of the following: Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 (no band lower than 5.5). Students who do not have a band score of IELTS 6.0 or higher in Reading and Writing will be required to take English 104. TOEFL ibt 80 overall with no subsection less than 19; TOEFL 550; CAEL 60 and writing 60 and PTE Academic 54 overall with no component less than 46.
