Communication Engineering is the branch of engineering that deals with communications technology development and operations, including telecommunications and computer networks, to name a few.

Modern society has become increasingly dependent on instantaneous communication of information in a world of integrated digital communication networks. Thus, this degree programmer caters to society’s demands for seamless transfer of information, through mobile phones, TVs, radios, the Internet or other media.

Communication has been identi?ed as one of the major growth areas in the industry. Students will learn about operating principals and designing devices, ranging from mobile phones to wireless networks and satellite communication systems, among others. Notably, the programmer covers a wide range of courses, from electrical science and circuit design to computing, optical ?bre systems, microwave circuits, communications and digital networks.

To nurture competitiveness among graduates, they are also required to undergo industrial training under UCSI University’s Co-operative Training Placement Scheme at the end of the 2nd and 3rd academic years. This training allows students to learn and familiarize themselves with the real-life working environment. Apart from that, students also undertake a research and development project in their ?nal year of study.

International Degree Pathway (IDP) Programme:

• Caters to aspiring students from all walks of life who wish to obtain a foreign degree and yet wish to spend the initial years at UCSI.
• Provides students with an opportunity to study at UCSI for 1 or 2 years and complete the rest of their studies at their chosen university overseas.
• Offers students the flexibility of obtaining a foreign university degree by transferring from UCSI to a partner university abroad.
• Such flexibility enables students to expand their international learning experience at a lower cost.
