The Exercise Physiology program at the University of Dayton incorporates a strong science curriculum to prepare you to become an expert of health and the human body. This bachelor's degree program is your jumping off point into graduate studies in the professional and basic health sciences.

You’ll gain a strong base in the natural sciences before developing your understanding of the human body through nutrition, anatomy and physiology courses. Electives allow you to develop your own interest area and tailor the program towards your target graduate studies.

We aim to develop students who are capable of being leaders in their field and who embody the Marianist spirit of education, including:

Educating the whole person through a learning community of challenge and support.

Connecting learning to leadership and service.

Collaborating for adaptation and change.

Program highlights

Comprehensive & flexible curriculum that covers pre-requisite courses for multiple professional programs.

One-on-one faculty advisement for scheduling and professional growth.

First-year seminar course to introduce professions and the process for obtaining experience.

Departmental support for, and promotion of, service opportunities on and off-campus.

Encouragement for scholarship in working with faculty and a capstone course requirement that includes a research project.

Students must have qualification equivalent to secondary schools. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 70 on the Internet-based (iB) test is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum score of 80. International English Language Testing System (IELTS): A minimum overall band score of 6.0 is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum overall band score of 6.5. International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP). A minimum overall score of 4.0 is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum score of 4.5. Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): A minimum score of 50 is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum score of 60.
