With this MSc Oil and Gas programme you will gain a practice-focused approach leading to employability prospects in the oil and gas industry.

An interdisciplinary approach combining Law and Business, MSc Oil and Gas constitutes a range of modules, including some led by the Henley Business School. It takes a practice-focused approach, giving you links with employers and opportunities to gain real-world experience.

You will develop insights on the legal and regulatory aspects raised in this dynamic industry, boosting your employability prospects in a range of oil and gas industries: states, government agencies, international courts and tribunals, multinational corporations, law firms looking for individuals with advanced knowledge of the sector, academic and many more.

This course studies the combination of legal, environmental and economic considerations which lie at the heart of the oil and gas industry. Modules can be chosen from the School of Law, School of Economics, School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, Henley Business School and the School of Archaeology, Geography and Environmental Science. You will enhance your knowledge of the oil and gas industry and improve your employability not only for law firms active in these industries but also for in-house legal teams.

Students need to have 4-year Bachelors degree with weighted average of 70-85%; subject to applicants' graduation universities rankings and the University of Reading programmes' 2:1 or high 2:2 requirements.
