Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and the mental processes that determine behavior. Psychology also applies the accumulated knowledge of this science to solve practical problems.

Undergraduate research opportunities:

Participate in research under the direction of psychology faculty by enrolling in Psych 498 or 499.
Apply for department research grants to support your own independent research under the direction of psychology faculty.
Participate in the Department of Psychology Undergraduate Research Symposium, an opportunity for original research to be presented to the public.

Student needs to complete at least 12 years of school, culminating in an appropriate secondary certificate or external examination. (We may consider the first year or two of university in some countries to be secondary level). Schooling should include preparation in humanities, mathematics, basic sciences, and social sciences. WSU requires a minimum grade point average of 2.70 (on a 4.00 scale) for admission as an international freshman. English Language Requirements: TOEFL - Minimum Score 213 computer-based (CBT); 79 internet-based (iBT); 550 paper-based (PBT); IELTS – 6.5; MELAB – 77.
