先講寄生的概念：一方benefit一方harm，引出mutualism的概念(both benefit)，然后講endomutualism,就是動物之間的共生.舉一種生物的egg和另一種生物共生，還講了為什么可以共生，學生提問會不會受到免疫系統(tǒng)的影響之類的。

鳥的叫聲

教授引導學生講出鳥鳴一方面是為了警告趕走敵人，另一方面是為了吸引配偶。接下來講影響鳥的叫聲的原因。在機場旁邊的鳥會受機場噪音干擾，很早就鳴叫，而通常應該是跟sunrise同步。于是科學家在五個不同的地點做實驗，這些地點太陽升起的時間是不同的，有的不會受人造光的影響，有的忘了。最后發(fā)現(xiàn)，因為有噪音，鳥鳴會在天仍暗的時候早于日出而與噪音發(fā)生同步，會讓他們更易被天敵捉到。同時城市高樓會造成echo回音，使得這邊的鳥叫聲不高。尤其heavytrain怎么怎么樣。

歷史課教學

一個男student teacher跟老師說起他的歷史課教學，他沒想到原來這么不容易(考點)。他曾在之前的self-evaluation 里說要注重 control, 但后來他改變的想法(考點)。老師很欣賞他把art和music引入歷史教學中(考點)。然后他還提到下周要做的事(考點)。

bacteria如何生存

細菌可以生活在溫度高達400°的海域，通過二氧化硫來維持生活。同時也可以生存在零下的冰層里，通過將硫化物轉(zhuǎn)為硫酸鹽和亞硫酸鹽來獲得營養(yǎng)。但根據(jù)檢測這篇區(qū)域的硫并沒有減少，因為細菌懂得循環(huán)使用硫。鐵可以循環(huán)硫，自身可以和巖石里的物質(zhì)進行循環(huán)。

音樂的發(fā)展史

這篇主要描述了音樂的歷史，不同的音樂可以用來傳達不同的感情，早期羅馬時期古老的音樂用來人與人之間交流。重點提到巴洛克時期的音樂，常形成對比，賦予其緊張感。也提到了復調(diào)和主調(diào)音樂，復調(diào)是沒有主旋律和伴聲之分，相互層疊;主調(diào)音樂是以一條旋律為主,其它的音響材料都是它的陪襯,起著烘托主要旋律的作用。最后提及戲劇，需要更多的歌手和樂器伴奏，同時也會賦予更多的情感變化，推動音樂的故事性。

6、一個關于心理學的實驗，用了人們在戶外和室內(nèi)證明全球變暖的idea和人們所處溫度關系。

7、landscape painting：美國畫家的風景畫：開始講 portrait，因為那個畫家喜歡畫nature，所以變成風景畫 landscape了，并且還在櫥國展示，后來講了一幅他的畫些描述畫的細節(jié)，目的是說明這些畫可以傳達感情。

8、地下建筑：學生找老師想換論文題目，因為很感興趣 underground architecture，老實說之前的的題目OK，但是和和要求不符，都是fact，這個新題目可以，但更關注 outline，并且可以看看土耳其的相似建筑。

9、心理學，說人們的state會影響future，比如現(xiàn)在很飽，就會想到以后能有enough food來吃。做了三個實驗，第一個在戶外測，第二個覺得戶外不準確，所以加入了 indoor，第三個覺得還是不準，希望被試自己體驗溫度。但其實實驗結果都是一樣的。

9月16日預測

Conversation 1-學生和雇員

學生去找雇員抱怨說停車位太滿了，自己買了停車位，但是每天來到學校都沒有位置，只能停在校外的馬路上，還要另付停車費。雇員首先詢問學生是不是更改了課表，學生說是的，之前是下午上課，現(xiàn)在是上午上課，雇員說確實如此，因為職工早上的時候也會占用學員的停車位，所以會緊張，并提到現(xiàn)在有兩個停車場在建，不過要兩年后建成，說到可以做一部分退款，學生說晚上來圖書館還是需要停車的，最后提到騎自行車，公共交通來學校上課有助于緩解停車困難。

Conversation 2-學生和藝術學教授

學生去找professor詢問一個意大利畫家的關于威尼斯的繪畫，學生覺得過于真實，沒有角度，教授解釋繪畫是為了旅行者而畫，后來說到畫家后來去了倫敦，繪畫較為夸張，天空太藍，光線太亮，最后說到去網(wǎng)上搜索該畫家后續(xù)畫作，幫助學生寫論文。

農(nóng)業(yè)發(fā)展史，中世紀人口擴張，導致food減少，土地資源減少。農(nóng)民之前用的plow沒辦法耕到更深的土地，所以發(fā)明了一種heavy plow，能夠犁的更深。同時農(nóng)民認識到馬比牛耕地快，所以更多的使用馬耕地運輸，由于馬的使用，也使耕地面積進一步擴大，并且可以每年有一部分土地休整。

Lecture4-天文

Europa行星，是Jupiter的衛(wèi)星，上面可能會有生命存在，對比了地球生命的形成，提到了Jupiter的引力有助于Europa的ice break，產(chǎn)生氧氣，同時星球上有水源，可能會有早期生命形態(tài)，人類有一個breaker計劃，幫助Europa海洋水破冰，產(chǎn)生氧氣，不確定是不是會有用，有用可能也要很多年。
