英國留學：申請被拒理由及argue技巧

在每年的留學申請季中，申請英國留學童鞋總是幾家歡喜幾家愁。在許多收到英國大學offer童鞋的歡聲笑語中總是會夾雜著一些收到拒信童鞋的失落與難過。收到英國大學拒信就一定沒機會了嗎？當然不是的，如果懂得如何argue也是可能會被重新錄取的。今天小編就給大家介紹下常見的10種被拒理由和argue技巧。希望對大家有所幫助

　　1、所申學校今年申請人數(shù)激增，學生綜合競爭力不夠：

“Please be aware that, in common with most of our courses, the XXXXX course has seen an unprecedented increase in the number of applications received this year. It is because of this factor, that we have not been able to make offers to all applicants.

It was deemed that your academic qualifications, together with other aspects of your application were not ranked highly enough in comparison with those of other applicants with similar achievements. ”

Argue 成功指數(shù)★：這是最常見的一種被拒說法，看起來很官方很客氣，也有說服力，其實就是學校沒有看上你，也懶得給理由了。如果你真的很想去這個大學的話，那可以詢問學校是否有可能轉到其他的相關專業(yè)

2、學校排名沒有達到所申請學校要求：

“You failed to fulfill the entry requirements because your awarding institution is not ranked highly enough to satisfy our entry criteria.”

Argue 成功指數(shù)★★：這樣的回復一般是學校都有明確的排名要求的，Argue的可能性比較渺茫，不過呢!有一種可能性：其實你的大學排名還不錯，但是英國看錯你的學校名稱了;比如你的學校曾經(jīng)更換過名字，英國大學在排名上找不到你的大學的名字。這種烏龍還是有可能的哈!你只需要寫一封言辭懇切的信說明一下，讓大學重新審核一下即可。

3、學生均分沒有達到所申請專業(yè)要求：

“We regret to inform you that we are unable to offer them a place, as it was felt that the application did not meet the entry requirements for the course for the following reason(s):

Your academic qualification requires to have all modules with a score of above 80 %. You have not achieved the necessary standard.”

Argue 成功指數(shù)★★：這種情況也不妙。如果你屬于綜合分數(shù)沒有達到要求，但是如果專業(yè)核心課的分數(shù)達到或者高于學校要求的話，可以以此為重點，向學校發(fā)郵件說明情況。還有就是補交材料，本大大有個童鞋就是因為平均分被學校拒絕了，老師讓他提供了一份完美無瑕的實習工作證明，結果OFFER真的下來了。

4、學生核心課程均分沒有達到所申請專業(yè)要求：

“Unfortunately we are unable to make you an offer as you do not meet our academic requirements. You are currently achieving 80.05% overall which is the equivalent to a low 2:2 & we require a high 2:2 which is 83%.

Your average grades from required & relevant modules are 77.33% & 74.07% which is the equivalent to a 3rd. The selector was concerned that you would not be suitable for the course due to the grades you have achieved.”

Argue 成功指數(shù)★：省省吧!Argue不易啊!不過呢，凡是總有例外，除非你可以舉證，你這樣的分數(shù)已經(jīng)是年級排名TOP3的了。

5、所申專業(yè)今年不開放申請：

“From September 20XX we will no longer be running the XXXXXXX.”

“Unfortunately the XXXXXXXXXX is closed for both part time and full time applications. Your application has been given careful consideration and on this occasion we are unable to offer you a place on your chosen programme. We have also taken the time to review your application for other Masters programmes at AMBS and unfortunately we are unable to offer you a place.”

Argue 成功指數(shù)★★★：不開放申請，好像一點argue的余地都沒有。其實，還是可以問學校是否有其他專業(yè)可以代替，因為英國大學的很多專業(yè)雖然名字差異很大，但是課程內容還是差不多的。

6、學生沒有所申專業(yè)相關背景：

“Unfortunately, your application for XXXXXX was unsuccessful because your degree was in an unrelated subject. ”

Argue 成功指數(shù)★★★：這種情況明顯就是申請失誤了嘛!如果專業(yè)有要求背景，你又沒有學過相關的課程，那只能是選學校的時候就選錯了啊!

但是呢!有種情況是，學校需要你學過一些課程，比如數(shù)學課什么的，成績單上體現(xiàn)不出來，本大大就見過Argue后，學校讓出具高中數(shù)學成績單的情況?；蛘咛峤荒憬邮苓^相關培訓的證明，強調一下自己的相關工作經(jīng)歷以及相關專業(yè)證書等。

7、學生有學過所申專業(yè)大部分課程，學校不接受學生申請與本科類似專業(yè)：

“On this occasion I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you a place. This is because this is a conversion course primarily aimed at students who have not studied XXXXXXXXXX at undergraduate level.”

Argue 成功指數(shù)★★★：這種拒信比較奇葩，因為你學過這樣的課程，所以拒你。其實是因為你學過這樣的課程，所以本專業(yè)對你來說太簡單了，不適合你學。當然，如果你非要學習一些簡單的課程專業(yè)，那么言辭懇切的說明你的意圖，Argue試試啦。

8、學生提交的雅思成績沒有達到所申課程要求或沒有提交申請費：

“The reason for this decision is due to the English Language test score you submitted - this does not meet our requirements.”

“The application has been failed for applicant didn`t pay the application fee.”

Argue 成功指數(shù)★★★★★：說明沒有交的理由，正常情況下，補繳申請費或者重新提交合適的雅思成績即可哈。

9、學校認為個人陳述對所申專業(yè)目標不一致，原申請專業(yè)被拒，推薦申請其他專業(yè)：

“Your application has been rejected. The admission panels notes; Stated interests and goals would be a better fit for the XXXXXX. ”

Argue 成功指數(shù)★★★★：這個要分析情況哈!如果是你的個人陳述的申請方向寫的不明確或者不夠好讓大學誤會了，寫封信件說明一下情況，重新提交一份PS，成功率還是很高的哈!

但是，如果大學是對于你PS的質量不滿意，比如BATH大學的口譯專業(yè)，拒絕你是因為你的PS的寫作水平，那么就沒啥說的了!這么頂級的專業(yè)全國只招25個中國人，要求高也是正常的。

10、準確來講，這一條不算拒信，學校因為某種原因會將學生放在waiting list上：

“Competition for entry to postgraduate degree programmes in the XXXX School has intensified in recent years, with more than XXXX applications being received for circa 1,400 places during the last Admissions Cycle (2016 entry to the University).

Accordingly, attainment of the published Minimum Academic Requirements, Minimum English Language Requirements and Non-Academic Requirements does not guarantee that an applicant will receive an offer.

Applicants will be made offers based on their relative performance compared to other applicants, and offers will be made to the top applicants based on the number of places available on their desired degree programme.

Given this, we are not in a position to make you an offer at this time. Your application is being held, pending review of other applications. You will be advised no later than 31 January 2016 whether or not we will be able to make you an offer.”

Argue 成功指數(shù)★★★★：這種情況下，看似只能等待消息，其實這是唯一一種給你機會argue的拒信。

建議大家如果真的非常想去這個學校，那就要想盡一切辦法，從學術能力以及綜合能力方面闡述自己為什么適合這個專業(yè)，以及自己都做了哪些預備工作來為將來學習這個專業(yè)打基礎，言辭懇切且熱情(切記不可和個人陳述重復)。
